Foundation Of Movement

Come join me in a exploration of human anatomy, movement and mindfulness. Discover how these three areas work together to help you use your body in a more efficient and balanced way. Taught through the discipline of Core Movement Integration (CMI), you will learn a mindful exercises used to re-pattern movement at a neurological level.

In this workshop we will connect these sound functional movements to your Martial Arts Practice by:

  • Learning your anatomy, how it works and how to use it efficiently.

  • Reduce pain by changing unhealthy movement habits and poor posture at a neurological level.

  • Increase your proprioception, balance and control your subtle deep core movements.

  • Learning how to transfer kinetic forces through your body with efficient bone alignment to generate greater power with ease.

WHAT TO BRING:

Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, and warm socks.  A yoga mat or blanket, and a pillow or large towel (something you can use as a bolster).A notebook and pen too, there will be good information you'll want to remember. 

Space is limited to 15 people. A minimum of 5 people is required. If the minimum is not reached the workshop will be rescheduled.

The registration fee is non-refundable unless the workshop is cancelled.

How to use these biomechanically sound movements to improve how we feel during our work, and how to transmit this to our clients.

Free Wellness Fair!

Join us as we launch a summer full of unique programs! Come for the day (or part of the day) to experience a blending of Movement, Sound and Mindfulness hosted by Natick area health and wellness practitioners. Morning mini sessions focus on mindful moving practices, with gongs and Himalayan singing bowls creating a rich, vibrational backdrop of sound. Afternoon sessions are especially kid friendly as drumming and playful movement are brought into the mix.

Throughout the day connect with numerous other local health and wellness oriented vendors and sample healthy snacks. 

From 11:00-1:00 the hosting practitioners will be available to demonstrate how Bodywork, Movement and Sound Therapies can reduce pain, increase mobility and manage stress to improve your overall quality of life.

Feel better, live better!

We end the day with Guided Breathing followed by a deeply relaxing 30 minute Gong Meditation.
